Steel rods and hot rolled steel

Steel (USA) Price Outlook

Hot-Rolled Coil U.S. Steel prices have declined significantly in recent weeks, erasing gains made since the start of the year. The steep drop can be attributed to lower prices for iron ore and steel scrap, which are often used to produce the commodity. U.S. Steel traded at USD 606 per metric ton on 6 October, which was down 5.0% from the same day in September and was 4.3% lower on a year-to-date basis. Nevertheless, the price was up 18.8% from the same day last year.
