Steel (USA) Price OutlookPrices for Hot-Rolled Coil U.S. Steel continued to climb in recent weeks as demand for the commodity remains high. Moreover, traders have been attentive to whether U.S. President Donald Trump will impose import restrictions on countries including China in upcoming weeks following a much-anticipated report on steel imports. U.S. Steel traded at USD 742 per metric ton on 9 February, which was up 11.9% from the same day in January but was 18.0% higher on a year-to-date basis. The price was up 19.7% from the same day last year.
