Steel (Europe) Price OutlookEuropean steel prices trended upwards over the past month, supported by ongoing output curbs in China, the world’s largest producer of steel. Hot-rolled coil European steel traded at USD 566 per metric ton on 8 March, which was up 3.3% from the same day in February. Nevertheless, the price was 1.6% lower on a year-to-date basis and was down 19.4% from the same day last year.
