Steel (Europe) Price OutlookSteel prices declined slightly at the start of the fourth quarter. However, prices for the commodity remain elevated on expectations that the European Commission will impose tariffs to a number of countries, particularly China due to ongoing dumping activity. Hot-Rolled Coil European Steel traded at USD 634 per metric ton on 6 October. The price was down 1.7% from the same day in October but was 8.4% higher on a year-to-date basis. Furthermore, the price was up 25.6% from the same day last year.
