Wool Price OutlookWool prices surged in mid-February on strong demand for Australian wool after China banned wool imports from South Africa due to an outbreak of foot and mouth disease. On 8 March, wool traded at AUD 2,008 cents per kilogram. The print was up 3.3% from the same day last month. Moreover, it was 7.8% higher on a year-to-date basis and was up 12.9% from the same day last year.
