Wool Price Outlook

Wool prices were largely stable through most of July—after declining early in the month— as the market of reference, the Australian Wool Exchange, was closed from 11 July to 6 August for its summer recess. On 3 August, wool traded at AUD 1,982 cents per kilogram. The print was 3.6% lower than on the same day last month and was up 12.6% on a year-to-date basis. Moreover, the price was 30.2% higher than on the same day last year.
