Coffee Price Outlook

Favorable rainfalls in Brazil, the world’s largest Arabica producer, at the end of September moderated coffee prices after earlier reports of drier weather conditions had initially sent prices climbing. Arabica coffee traded at USD 128 cents per pound on 6 October, which was 2.4% higher than on the same day of last month. The price was down 5.1% on a year-to-date basis and was 12.1% lower than on the same day of last year.
