Coffee Price Outlook

Arabica prices traded lower in early February as top producer Brazil appeared set for a record-setting crop in the 2017–18 growing season, increasing the likelihood that the global supply deficit could move to surplus by 2018–19. Arabica coffee traded at USD 122 cents per pound on 9 February, which was 1.9% lower than on the same day last month. Moreover, the price was down 1.8% on a year-to-date basis and was 15.9% lower than on the same day last year.
