GDP in Haiti
Haiti - GDPPolitical instability continues to rattle economic activity, more than a month after a planned fuel price hike sparked countrywide protests which ended with the resignation of the former prime minister, Jack Guy Lafontant, on 14 July. Although President Moïse named Jean-Henry Céant as the new prime minister on 6 August, the return to order was short-lived. On 24 August, citizens took to the streets again to protest corruption after allegations that billions of U.S. dollars were siphoned from Petrocaribe funds sponsored by Venezuela.
