Steel (Europe) Price OutlookEuropean steel prices declined slightly in recent weeks due to looming U.S. tariffs on steel imports. However, the postponement of a 25% tariff until 1 June eased downward pressure on prices. Hot-rolled Coil European Steel traded at USD 680 per metric ton on 11 May. The price was 2.0% lower than on the same day in April but was up 6.1% on a year-to-date basis. It was 16.2% higher than on the same day last year.
