Cotton Price OutlookCotton prices fell in recent weeks amid a more upbeat supply outlook, more than erasing all price gains made since the start of the year. Recent good weather conditions and expectations of a higher planting acreage this season weighed on the market. On 11 May, cotton traded at USD 66.5 cents per pound, which was 8.5% lower than on the same day last month. Moreover, the price was down 1.9% on a year-to-date basis and was 17.2% lower than on the same day last year.
